Kavita koparkar started as a make-up professional since the age of 16 years and has various prestigious assignments to her credit in the short span, like Marathi film 'SHAALA' by Kranti Kanade, which not only won two awards but also went to the international film festival. 'A GIRL'S STORY' a short film director by British director, Victoria Harwood for the British International film festival. A fashion show choreographed by Shamli Verma, for the launch of designer wear from Payal Singhal to name a few.

Qualification in Hair & Make-up:

• Basic course in make-up from Vikram Gaikwad
• Secured A+ grade in the final examination of the course in beauty make-up at Cinema Make-up School at Los Angeles, USA
• Basic hairstyling from Archana Haria

• Kavita has started her own Papillon Hair & Makeup Studio, in Koregaon Park, Pune. – A totally novel concept in itself in September 2005. It is a place where one can get specialized makeup and hairstyling services.
• Kavita takes batches of Makeup & Hairstyling courses. Has also given some lecture-demonstrations in various clubs on personal makeup and hair care.

Kavita has got her basics from none other than the make-up maestro Vikram Gaikwad and has also become the first Indian to obtain special training in beauty make-up from the "Cinema Makeup School", Los Angeles, USA. Her frequent visits to her father's (Dr. Vinay koparkar's) Papillon Beauty Parlor for ladies triggered her passion for beauty, which made her decide to take up the career in make-up & hair styling.

She pointed out that people look for different designer or special outfits, constumes, jewellery, shoes and other accessories for decking themselves up for social occassions. However till now there havn't been facilities where you can get the make-up done by a qualified professional for any special occassion. This is a first make-up studio that would offer services to common people and not just the professionals like models, actresses, etc.

So may it be the wedding, an engagement, an interview, a party, a birthday party, any public function, business presentation or a special date, Papillon would provide the appropriate look through appropriate make-up. Papillon would also make some accessories like costumes, jewellery, sto;es, etc available on rent, while designing a look.
